Jimmy Hyacinthe, born in Treichville, a district of Abidjan, was an arranger and singer from Ivory Coast. He participated in the records of Nayanka Bell and many other musicians and singers from Côte d'Ivoire and Mali in the 1970s and 1980s. Jimmy Hyacinthe composed an album called Goli, which was a huge success in 1979. In this album, the flagship song, "Yatchiminou" took up the rhythm of the traditional Baoulé Goli dance (Goli mask), in a modern orchestration, with Afro-beat, soul and disco influences.
